The design of the new hall extracts the lines from the Sanxingdui cultural relics as the control curve of the shape and internal space. The roof adopts the form of slope covered soil, which echoes the left and right forms of the comprehensive museum, forming three covered mounds along the central axis, meaning “piling up at Sanxing", so that the body concept of the building is the same to inherit the name of “Sanxingdui Ruin Site”.

Sanxingdui Museum adopts Low-E large arc long bent tempered laminated composite insulating glass with a single glass arc length of 4400mm and a width of 1200mm. Glass with hidden frame curtain wall installation is another masterpiece of the application of large arc long single bent tempered glass in China.

The lobby on the first floor adopts 4x12mm ultra-white double SGP laminated composite insulating glass, from 2500mm to 5000mm, from low to high. The special process ensures the safety performance of the large glass, while the line of sight is not covered.the eye of ancient Shu
In terms of architectural performance, the solid and heavy facade reveals the “eye of ancient Shu”, looking towards the site area, symbolizing the window of Sanxingdui culture to the outside world, and is the metaphor of ancient Shu civilization looking at the world through the ancient and modern times. The unique design of the “eye” of glass is the collision of modern materials and historical civilization, but also the clever fusion of “new” and “old”.
