Industry Leaders Gather at the 718 Design Festival as NorthGlass Illuminates the Future of Curtain Walls Through Glass
On July 18, the 6th 718 Shanghai Curtain Wall Shared Design Festival grandly opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). Organized by the Shanghai Society of Creativity and hosted by the Professional Committee of Curtain Wall Shared Design, the event brought together industry elites to explore cutting-edge curtain wall technologies, discuss pathways for industrial upgrading, and jointly chart a new course for the high-quality development of China's building envelope industry.
As one of the key participating enterprises of this grand event, NorthGlass was represented by its Marketing Director Li Chunchao, who led the marketing team to attended the event throughout the day. The event gathered distinguished experts and industry leaders. Academician Li Guoqiang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Qu Qi, Chairman of the China Construction Metal Structure Association, as well as four National Engineering Survey and Design Masters — Wang Dasui, Qian Feng, Guo Jianxiang, and Li Yaming — attended the event and shared insights on the future development of the industry.

At the 718 Shanghai Curtain Wall Shared Design Festival, NorthGlass showcased two major innovative products: NorthGlass Artistic Glass and High-Performance Insulating Glass. Through unique aesthetic design, advanced manufacturing technologies, and outstanding low-carbon and energy-saving performance, these products demonstrated NorthGlass’s strong capabilities and continuous innovation achievements in high-end architectural glass and artistic building glass solutions.
During the exhibition, distinguished experts, association leaders, and industry peers visited the NorthGlass booth to view its Artistic Glass series. They gained an in-depth understanding of its unique craftsmanship, diverse aesthetic applications, and successful implementation in high-end projects, and highly recognized NorthGlass's long-standing commitment to differentiated innovation, high-quality development, and product excellence.
During the forum sessions, Jin Mingxiang, General Manager of NorthGlass Glazed Glass Company, together with Mr. Yu from RFR and other distinguished guests, delivered an in-depth presentation on the unique color layering, crystal-clear texture, and artistic expression of NorthGlass Artistic Glass, fully showcasing the innovation and aesthetic value of domestically developed artistic architectural glass.
During the conference, an industry-themed short video competition was held simultaneously. After rigorous evaluation and multiple rounds of selection by the organizing committee, the work submitted by NorthGlass team member Tang Xintao stood out among numerous entries and successfully won First Prize in the video competition.
Through delicate visual storytelling, the award-winning video captured the beauty of light and shadow in curtain wall architecture, vividly documenting the innovation and evolution journey of the 718 Design Festival. It fully demonstrated the vitality of the NorthGlass brand and the spirit of innovation within the industry.
