A New Record — 17m Glass Made by NorthGlass
Once again, NorthGlass updated her own record: 17m super large energy-saving glass was applied to buildings for the first time, measuring 17m x 3.1m and weighing 8 tons of each piece.
In 2008, NorthGlass started cooperation with a well-known company, and formally carried out the research and development of large curtain wall glass;
In 2009, NorthGlass developed 12.8 x 2.85 m (bent edge) curved tempered glass with her own patented technology;
In 2012, NorthGlass independently developed an 18m flat & curved tempering furnace, opening up new space for architects;
In 2018, the first 3.3m x 8m (bent edge) energy-saving glass in NorthGlass was born, marking a major breakthrough for the architectural viewing windows.
With the continuous improvement of people's spirit level and the acknowledged concept of "Design with Nature", super large energy-saving glass has been widely used in the architectural design. It will meet demand by only one or two pieces and present beautiful natural scenery and magnificent city prosperity from the widest angle of view, unlike the curtain wall of traditional building with many pieces of tempered glass for splicing and installation.
NorthGlass super large glass used in the project in Hong Kong requires a complicated production process and very high polished straightness. Embedded in the center of prosperous Hong Kong, a great piece of artwork came into being. At night, it looks quiet and peaceful under the embellishments of various lights.
Super large energy-saving glass is the perfect answer to the problem of safe structural features, strong architectural aesthetics adaptability, ultra-low light pollution and energy consumption. At present, China's policies of building "green" GDP and "livable city" have provided broad prospects for the development of super large energy-saving glass.
