Tianjin NorthGlass Lab Was built up and put in to service
Recently, Tianjin NorthGlass Industrial Technical Co., Ltd (TNG) industrial lab’s upgrading and expansion project was successfully finished. And the lab was awarded as prime lab of Tianjin optimized function architectural glass technology enterprise. The lab’s floor space is 2000 square meter, and have 53 experiment apparatuses. The experiment apparatuses include insulating glass radiation rate meter, spectrophotometer, small angle color photometer, safe glass radiation resistant testing machine and UV/VIS/NIR spectrometer etc.
The lab of Tianjin NorthGlass aimed at developing ultra-large structural and functional integrated architectural glass, and supply reliable safety glass productions for the domestic and foreign new type buildings which saving energy and protecting environment. The lab becomes China the most professional research and development organization and engineering demonstration base which study of manufacturing technology and performance measuring of ultra-large energy-saving structural glass. The lab also becomes a technology platform which provide domestic and foreign technology cooperation, consultation, training, development, transfer and improvement, and technological result translate and spread.

In the 20 years curtain wall glass production history, The NorthGlass completed many projects which are praised in the glass industry.in the recent years, Tianjin NorthGlass pays more attentions to create higher quality production during the transition process, and invests more funds on research and develop of ultra-large size glass and multi-curved glass. After the lab built, the main research topics will focus on some key technology like: ultra-large panel glass uniformity control during the preparation process, technology of homogenization strengthened glass, temperature field stress distribution of energy-saving glass and tempering strength of structural glass. The lab developed ultra-large multi-layer energy-saving structural glass with thickness 210mm. Layout 3600mm (arc length) X 18000mm 00000 and 8000mm (arc length) X 4000mm curved strengthened glass, the heat transfer coefficient of the glass can be as low as 1.1 W/(㎡·K). According to strengthened glass stress uniformity technology, and glass industry standard “tempered glass for window, door and curtain wall in buildings” request that maximum stress difference less than or equal to 15 Mpa. And the stress difference of Tianjin NorthGlass produced 17.2m ultra-large and ultra-long strengthened glass can be controlled less than or equal to 9 Mpa. The National Standard requirement of bow-bending standard size does not exceed 3‰ , and the waveform bending does not exceed 2 ‰ (0.6mm/300mm). Tianjin NorthGlass ultra-large size energy-saving glass internal control standard request that bow-bending less than or equal to 1‰, and waveform bending less than or equal to 0.17‰(0.05mm/300mm).
